Arcadia Domus

Breakfast came with tickets for the café downstairs, which had excellent filled croissants, pastries, sandwiches, coffee including cappuccino, and fresh orange juice. The room at Arcadia Domus was clean and spacious, with a comfortable Queen bed (160 centimeters wide) and a sofa bed. My wife prefers two pillows, so she asked the owner for another one and he brought it over right away. The bathroom was clean and had enough towels. We used the air conditioning for heat, and the room stayed comfortable. The owner was very nice at check-in, explained everything and shared good dinner tips. The price was great, and the accommodation is a multi-room apartment with a kitchen in an apartment building. There's a SIT Bus Shuttle stop close by from the airport. One thing to bear in mind: our windows faced the street, and a somewhat busier road was about fifty meters away. At night, even with the windows shut, we could hear cars and motorbikes accelerating and honking. The owner had left earplugs. I'm a heavy sleeper, so it didn't bother me, but my wife is more sensitive and was woken sometimes. If we return to Rome, this would be our first choice.

For a one-night stay, the room and service were spot on. There are lots of markets and cafés nearby, and the Metro is close, with a direct line to the city center. If you're driving, paid parking is available, or you might get lucky and find free parking. The street is fairly busy, though, and the soundproofing could be better, so sleep may be less than ideal.

Really lovely place to stay. It was very clean and fully equipped, and the staff were great and helpful. Definitely recommend it.
