The staff who were there were great, but often nobody was working. After 1pm, reception was only through WhatsApp, and too often we ended up dealing with the AI chatbot instead of a real person. The room looked much better in the photos than it was. Our superior room was tiny and cramped, with nowhere to put things or move around, one small window, and bedside tables too little to hold anything. The bed was painfully hard, and there weren’t even tissues. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the sink water was barely warm, so we had to wash our hands in cool water during winter. The elevator also stopped working if someone hadn’t properly shut the door on another floor. We had to climb the stairs to our floor, then couldn’t find the room because the floor numbering was wrong everywhere. We left after one night and got half a refund for the remaining half of the booking. We stayed just before Christmas and found much better value just outside the old town. The one thing I enjoyed was watching street gangs scam people from the window above.
