B&B di Paolo S.

We had a very unpleasant stay. One morning, the host tried to come into our room early, saying there was an "emergency." He also falsely claimed on his Airbnb profile that we smoked, and called us "dirty" and "disgusting." Every day we were required to have the room cleaned, something we haven't encountered at other accommodations, and he messaged us each morning saying he needed to air it out. This individual seems very sad and lonely, and to me appears to need serious medication.

Paolo was patient and incredibly helpful during our first trip outside North America, giving us directions and suggestions for local services. We stayed at B&B di Paolo S from October 17-24 2023, and I had already reviewed it on Expedia but wanted to share my experience here too. Breakfast each day was coffee, such as cappuccino, espresso, or café americano, plus a delicious, high-quality croissant with different fillings from local cafes. We really enjoyed it and will miss it. The nearest metro is under a ten-minute walk away, and a bus stop is just minutes away. Mini marts, a laundromat, and a pharmacy are also close. The place was very clean, and staff came in daily to tidy our belongings and take out the trash. Paolo was kind, direct, and encouraging when we practiced Italian. He was a generous host, and the B&B gave us top-notch service. Five out of five, and we'd highly recommend staying here on a trip to Rome.

Having a comfortable room to come back to after long days walking around Rome made our trip so much easier. The location is handy for walking to the main sights or catching a bus, and there are good restaurants close by. Breakfast being included was a bonus. The place was very clean, and the owner was kind and extremely helpful. We loved our stay and would definitely rent it again. Thanks, Paolo.

The location is good, but I found the owner horrible. He seems unable to take constructive feedback, and says false things about guests who leave less than five stars. In my case, he lied about my weight, insulted my appearance, and claimed I couldn't use the toilet and had left the bathroom covered in mess. We left it spotless. He also said my partner had never stayed there, although the booking was in my partner's name. These were nasty, false comments from Paolo. He appears to spend his time on his laptop answering every review and harassing guests. He bullies reviewers to remove what they've written and threatens legal and police action. I'm done responding to him. He's a waste of time and oxygen. Be aware when booking: there are much nicer places in Rome.
