B&B Laocoonte

The cafe breakfast was just a short stroll away and had a good range of quality food. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the location near the Vatican and St Peter's Square suited us perfectly. The host was helpful and left snacks and water each day, a really thoughtful touch. My husband and I were very happy with our stay and would book again if we return to Rome.

The location is one of the good points. The street noise is loud enough that you can hear everything, though, and the toilet seat is broken. The shower is tiny, so anyone on the bigger side probably won't fit.

Breakfast was delivered to our room and was much better than we expected, with good quality even by Italian standards. The owner was lovely, friendly, and always willing to help with our questions. Our room was clean and nicely equipped, including a fridge, although it was on the small side. The B&B takes up one floor of a residential building, close to Cipro metro station, which connects directly to Termini train station, and near Vatican City. It is not the nearest base for most attractions. The neighborhood feels local rather than touristy, with just a few cafe bars and shops, so it stays fairly quiet.

The apartment was spotless and felt very welcoming. St Peter's Square and the basilica are close by, and bus 81 nearby takes you from the centre to the coliseum. There are also plenty of great restaurants and pubs around.
