B&B Rome Termini House

Being close to Termini Station is a big advantage. It made it easy to get trains, airport connections, and public transport, including the Metro and buses, to the main sights. The room was a decent size, though the view wasn’t anything special. There were several problems during our stay. The room wasn’t clean enough, and we kept finding long hairs on the floor. The shower water was only warm, around 38°C. That was uncomfortable, especially in winter, and could be a hygiene concern since that temperature may encourage bacteria such as Legionella. We asked for the air conditioning remote so we could adjust it, but they refused. There was no heating on the first night, so it was quite cold. The second night was better after they turned on the central heating. The location and room size are good, but better cleaning, hotter water, and more heating options would improve the stay a lot.

My phone was stolen while I was on a train stopped at Termini Station. When I checked its GPS, the location showed inside this hotel. I also saw a lot of discarded phone cases in front of the building. That makes me suspect the hotel might be involved in theft, and it could be a dangerous place.

The building didn’t look great, but the room was what mattered, and it matched the photos exactly. My friend and I stayed in the king room for two days. At first we couldn’t figure out check-in because, theoretically, there was no reception. We contacted them through the app, they replied quickly, and showed us to the room. I’d recommend the King Room if you’re not travelling solo. Unfortunately I only took a photo of the bed, but you can find pictures of the rest of the king room using some apps.

We paid for a room with a balcony at Termini Palace Guesthouse, but were given one without. The staff didn’t apologize or explain, and when I contacted the booking office to ask for the difference back, the accommodation refused to refund even a cent. The room and floor were dirty, and the Wi-Fi listed in the description didn’t work. One evening before we left, there was a fight in the next room. It was the most disappointing experience I’ve had since booking on booking. Rome itself was wonderful and somehow helped us forget the awful stay, but I wouldn’t recommend Termini Palace Guesthouse if you want a peaceful, relaxing holiday.
