Good location, but the building was horrible and the room wasn’t much better.

It’s in the city center, close to both the train station and the metro.

At €100, I’d rather have a room without that “violet” smell. The building next door also starts making noise with a hose from the construction work at 7 in the morning, every sound coming through clearly without double glazing to muffle it. The location near Termini is convenient, sure. But the entrance has a dozen overflowing garbage cans, and the tiny elevator only takes bulky suitcases if their owner doesn’t ride along. Inside, the “vintage” look extends to the fixtures. All the switches are busted, the desk lamp is out, and the bathroom light doesn’t work, so the ceiling spots don’t help you see your armpits in the morning. The bathroom has no window, and its forced ventilation doesn’t work. There are only two towels, one for the shower and one for the bidet. Worse, the toilet paper won’t flush because the flush only reaches the hole. Try moving it with the toilet brush and, with the broken extractor, the “violet smell” fills the room. Seems someone thought it was a good idea to leave previous guests’ bodily waste there, in case anyone wanted to clone them and needed the genetic material. Aside from these tiny inconveniences, highly recommended!

The location is superb, just a few steps from the Colosseum. There’s a market, a bar, and a tavern downstairs, with plenty more services nearby. The man who greeted me was professional and very friendly. A few things need attention for a more comfortable stay. Fresh linen for guests would be especially welcome in summer, when it’s easy to sweat. I also would have liked a shower mat instead of having to use one of the towels, and an extra towel each for the bidet and face. The bathroom fixtures need more maintenance too: the shower doors are broken, the holder comes loose and falls, and the toilet leaks white water, which is still inconvenient. I’d come back if those things were addressed, because the location really is excellent.
