It was my first time in Roma, and the city was lovely. I was a little surprised to find the place so deep in the center, down a very narrow alley. The lady at reception welcomed us warmly, and in the room you can feel the building’s age. It’s very old but nicely renewed. The kitchen was fine, though it would have been nice to have coffee or tea packets. We slept peacefully on the first night, no supernatural happenings if you were wondering. The location is strategic, the room is adequate, and the hospitality gets two thumbs up.

Reception helped us sort out a car for our early airport trip, and they were open early enough for us. They weren’t there around the clock, though, and usually stayed until about 8 pm. The place is right in central Rome, so getting around on foot was easy. Our room was roomy and comfortable, and we had a great stay.

There’s more space here than in a hotel room, and it’s close to Piazza Navona. The front desk staff were really nice and accommodating. Just be warned that the elevator moves extremely slowly, so taking the stairs may be quicker.

The good things were the location and Alessandra at the concierge desk. She was great and very helpful. The street itself wasn’t clean, though. Our air conditioner didn’t work, and the breakfast served outside was very basic. The place was dirty, and the second double bed was actually a sofa with a really uncomfortable mattress. The concierge also didn’t label our luggage, which messed up checkout.

The reception staff were great, and speaking English wasn’t a problem. The service and rooms were excellent. I’d absolutely recommend staying here in Rome.
