Bella Roma al Vaticano

The owner was nice, and it's convenient that she's invested in a credit card machine for payments. I just wish that money had gone into the apartment instead. We wouldn't have rented it if the reviews had been more objective. The location is good, but I'd only recommend it for people without children. There's traffic day and night, the soundproofing is terrible, and using a stroller is out of the question. Fine if you're going out, but don't expect a good night's sleep. We stayed for a week, and the website photos were heavily photoshopped. It was very small for two couples with children, and the walls were damp. The washing machine hookup is right in front of the toilet, the Nespresso machine didn't work, and the terrace got soaked when the upstairs neighbors watered their plants, so hang your laundry in the right place. Food went bad in the fridge after 3 days, the doors creaked, and the shower barely dripped. After 4 days there was no hot water at all, perfect if you're visiting during a heatwave!
