FRAUD! The city tax in Rome is 3,50€ a night. There were three of us staying for three nights, so it came to 31,50€, and we’d already paid that tax through Airbnb. The guy still asked us for the money in cash, even though the receipt clearly showed it had been paid. He wouldn’t listen when we tried to explain. He said we could cancel the reservation on Airbnb, so we did because we already felt really uncomfortable. They swindled us out of 31,50€ plus an 8€ cleaning fee, which Airbnb couldn’t refund, and we lost the cost of one night. On top of all that, the place was hot, and the room and bathroom looked dirty. This place deserves to be closed. DO NOT GO THERE.

The location was very good, and the Colosseum was only a 10-minute walk away, but staying here was a nightmare. We booked a room with AC because it was so hot outside, but it didn’t work, and the nights were extremely hot. We’d paid for breakfast for two days, but it wasn’t served at the location and we couldn’t find it, so we ended up eating at McDonalds instead. The door key was universal, so any visitor could unlock our room. It felt very unsafe. Staff required a tip and an unreasonable 14 Eur in city tax for two nights. The room felt like a prison.

I was asked to pay 110 euros for a two-night stay, a price I couldn't find anywhere in my booking. The owner locked the door and wouldn't let me leave the room, saying I had to pay immediately or he would call the police. I told him to call so I could explain what was happening, but he started pushing me to pay. I barely managed to reach the door lock and get away. The most disgusting place I've ever seen. Don't go there, ever.

I stayed four nights and the room wasn't cleaned once. The shower barely had any hot water.
