Gracchi Guest House

I stayed at this B&B for one night in February 2022, and it cost me an arm and a leg. I don't expect fancy furnishings from a B&B, but I do expect the staff to be honest and the place to be clean. The curtains were tacky and extremely dirty, and hygiene clearly isn't a strong point here. I also left a new dress behind. The owner said he'd found it and would give it back when I returned to Rome. A month later, I called the day before I came back to let him know, but he hesitated. The next day he ignored my call and texted that he couldn't look for a dress on a Saturday. Customer service doesn't seem to matter to this management.

The Gracchi Guest House was a big part of our fabulous time in Rome. It's well priced and in a superb spot near excellent cafes, ice cream parlors, restaurants, the metro, and many points of interest. We were welcomed warmly by friendly staff, and the rooms were pleasant and very clean. There's a small kitchen where you can make tea or coffee any time, with complimentary biscuits too. It was also easy to leave our luggage after checkout until our airport departure, so we could enjoy our last day without dragging a suitcase around. Top-notch, highly recommended!

We got to the property at the time the owner had set, and he didn't seem to care about the inconvenience a traveling guest might face. When I called the number I found online to book, he acted like he was doing us a favor. From my experience, there are similar places on Via De Gracchi in Rome with lower prices and friendlier staff.

The breakfast was excellent, served at a café across the street, and the place is affordable too. Staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was clean. The location is very central, just a few steps from the Vatican. Truly excellent.
