The service was the best!

The rooms are upstairs, three in all, furnished with good taste and each opening onto a little terrace. There's Wi-Fi, and the staff are genuinely friendly and ready to help. Downstairs, breakfast is served in a dining room and nook with plenty of food and drinks to choose from. Guests can also settle into a lovely lounge and browse the well-stocked library, which gives the place its character.

The library atmosphere is what stays with you: hundreds of books, a chessboard, and old sofas and armchairs that are perfect for unwinding after travel, queues, or wandering around Rome. The staff greeted us with warm smiles. One morning I woke to Hotel California and Dust in the Wind, which made for a fantastic mood. 😋

The shared spaces are generous, with a snug reading room, breakfast buffet area, garden, and a covered patio/greenhouse where you can eat among the flowers. I also made good use of the free high-speed Wi-Fi and watched Netflix series in the evenings. This book-inspired B&B has three rooms named for writers, Follett, Gaiman, and Tolkien, and a style that feels straight out of a novel, especially fun for fantasy fans. I stayed in a single room with a shared bathroom; the queen-size bed was surprisingly roomy and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean whenever I came back. It's handy for events at the Palalottomatica, Atlantico, and Bocciodromo, only a few bus stops away, though I walked. I'd happily come back.
