Casa Federico has a charming, romantic feel that seems especially suited to couples. The hosts were attentive and made sure our stay was comfortable. It's well placed for seeing the city, too. A lovely, authentic-feeling Rome stay, highly recommend.

From the time I booked, the host was quick to reply with detailed, useful information and knew his stuff. He made me feel looked after instead of like just another customer. When I return to Rome, I'll plan around when his place is available.

There are plenty of useful shops close by, including a supermarket, bakeries, and pizzerias with lovely food. The metro station is about 1.5 km away, an easy walk. We used it each day to get into central Rome or to the Vatican: around three stops to the Vatican, then six more to Termini, where you can switch to the B line for two stops to the Colosseum. The apartment itself is lovely, small, modern, and just outside central Rome. Our host welcomed us, explained the neighborhood, then left us to enjoy the week. He only checked in once by text to see if everything was all right. It's a little out of the way, but we couldn't have been happier and I'd highly recommend it.

Roberto gave us useful information for our stay and sightseeing, including restaurant and cafe suggestions, especially around Trastevere. Thanks, Roberto. We hope to see you again in Rome! The ground-floor apartment is in a quiet neighborhood and has a lovely, secure private courtyard. It's nicely decorated, fully equipped, good value, and can sleep four comfortably with a double bed and double sofa bed. There are lots of shops nearby, from cafes, a pizzeria, patisserie, supermarket, mini market, and butcher to a florist. The nearest metro at Battistini is about a 12-minute walk, while bus 49 stops about three minutes away at Pineta Sacchetti / Calisto II. The metro to the center at Flaminio takes around 30 minutes. For the return, I'd suggest bus 49 from its starting point in Piazza Cavour, or after midnight bus 46 from Termini, getting off at the same stop.

Casa Federico is well worth recommending. We had a wonderful time in Rome, thanks in part to the lovely apartment and its very friendly, hospitable owner, Roberto. He shared great suggestions for sights, shops, local restaurants, and getting around by public transport. His Trastevere restaurant tips were fantastic. The apartment is out in a suburb, but the bus stop is just around the corner and easy to reach on foot. We especially enjoyed unwinding on the terrace and small garden in the evenings.
