The garden and grounds are peaceful, green, and well cared for, and our large, bright room looked out on a lovely setting in Insugherata Park. Breakfast was delicious when requested. Our host was kind and helpful, and the whole stay was a lovely surprise. Highly recommended.

I had to take an English exam just a few metres from the building, so that’s why I went there.

I can see this becoming my regular place to stay in Rome. I’m in hotels eight months of the year, so that says a lot. The patio was a real highlight: sitting there with a bottle of good wine in complete quiet was just what I wanted. I stayed with my partner and her lovely, well-behaved dog in the comfortable Edera suite on Via Cassia. The owners were incredibly kind and attentive to what we needed. What can I say? Congratulations, you’ve won me over.

The suite I was offered at the last minute cost the same as a standard double room, and it had plenty of space, a comfortable bed, and an excellent shower. Breakfast was served in an American-style kitchen, with a good range of choices. A very kind young man handled check-in. I think he was the owners’ son. The property itself was just as spacious as the photos suggested, with a lovely garden and a huge common room. I’d been a little unsure because of some recent reviews, but this stay near Nero's Tomb on the Cassia in northern Rome was a pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed it and would recommend giving it a try.
