The hotel is very close to Termini, which was handy for getting back from other cities and heading to the airport the next morning. It was quiet at night, and I liked having a coffee machine since other places we stayed had only a kettle and instant coffee. But I wouldn’t recommend it. I don’t know why “Luxury” is in the name, because nothing felt luxurious. It looks better in photos than it does in real life, where it’s more worn out. There was no staff around during our stay. I hadn’t realized their hours were so limited when I booked, but we only needed one night and it was hard to find. The mattress and pillows were the worst I had in two weeks in Italy. I wanted to pay with a different card from the one I used online, but with nobody there when I left, I couldn’t. The room is very small, and the bathroom tiny, with an odd little platform that would make it hard for an elderly or larger person to use.

Termini being close by was the one real plus for us. The room was tiny and cramped, the floor felt sticky and dirty, and nothing about it seemed luxurious. Check-in was entirely self-service; we think staff are around for a few hours a day, but never saw anyone. Street noise was pretty bad too. The photos make the place look much nicer than it is. It worked for our one-night stopover, but the price should reflect the condition. If you want anything beyond being near Termini, there are probably cleaner, better-value places that are less misleading.

We had a great time here. The bed was comfortable, the terrace was a lovely bonus, and everything we needed was close by. It’s in a beautiful old building, and the area felt safe to walk around despite being busy and touristy. We enjoyed walking to lunch at the nearby tonnarello location and having dinner at Taverna Urbana, which was delicious. We’d recommend both. We were traveling with a baby and could fit his larger stroller in the elevator, or carry it up the stairs. They held our bags, and let us check in early and leave later to fit our schedule. Staff hours are limited, but they made sure someone was there for check-in and replied quickly on WhatsApp. The train station is right nearby and easy to walk to.

The high ceiling was stunning. Looking up at it from bed made the room feel like a Renaissance villa, and the balcony was charming and very Instagrammable. My boyfriend made coffee for us to enjoy there, and coffee was included. We also had a hairdryer, iron, safe and umbrella in the room. We came back to Rome after touring Northern Italy and stayed here for our last night in the country. We weren’t sure what to expect, but ended up pleasantly surprised. The building has a beautiful Italian feel, and it was convenient to Termini, just a six-minute walk away, both when we arrived and when we left. The room was small but didn’t feel cramped, unlike some places we’ve stayed in Paris and Singapore, even at four-star hotels. The room and bathroom were spotless. It was also very well soundproofed, so even with heavy traffic outside in the morning, it was completely quiet indoors. One small thing to know: I didn’t see a ventilation system in the bathroom, though that didn’t bother us personally. Maybe I missed it! The hosts were helpful and easy to communicate with before we arrived, and their self check-in instructions were clear. After checkout, they kindly let us leave our bags for a couple of hours so we could explore the neighborhood. A short walk turned up some incredibly beautiful, less-known spots, almost free of tourists and full of local charm. We would have stayed here at the start of our trip too, but it wasn’t available then. Thanks for all the kindness and support. We’d definitely come back!
