I chose the hotel for its location near the Coloseum and Termini station, about a 20-minute walk to the Coloseum and 10 minutes to Termini. We booked a triple room for four nights. It had a good double bed and a flimsy single bed that sloped, higher at the waist and lower at the head. I tried to put up with it, but it was disappointing. Then I got more than 50 bed bug bites and had to deal with rude staff and unreasonable attitudes. I’m still waiting for a 50% refund, and they haven’t responded. One star is for the manager from Peru, whose name I didn’t get. He was polite and handled complaints well, but left for holidays after helping me check in. I couldn’t load the full story on Google, so this is the short version.

The bathroom was very basic, and I got stuck in the elevator. The location is good, though somewhat shady, and the place was clean enough with a decent Rome price including breakfast. I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to open up and pay an extra 3€ for luggage storage.

Sofia at reception was friendly, and that’s the only reason for the two stars. The rooms were clean but not maintained, and there were no rules about noisy customers. People were making noise in the middle of the night, so I cancelled the third night and found a better option nearby. This property deserves zero stars.

The place was spotless, and both the staff and location were great. We also felt it was very good value for the price. The mattress was terrible, though, and it would help to have quiet hours: before 7 a.m., a family was making a lot of noise with shouting and music.
