Sunset at St. Peter

It was impossible to get in touch with the hotel. The Wi-Fi kept cutting out, and during a heat wave there was no fan. They said they’d provide one but never did. The location is amazing, but the place isn’t worth it. Stay away.

I was there for three days. The shared bathroom and modest room were clean, and the price seemed fair for the location. Booking.com also had good overall ratings. Still, it felt like being in a messy friend’s house, clothes everywhere, but without the warmth or care of a friend. At the start, I waited 15 minutes in the rain before someone opened the door, then spoke with the B&B manager. I had to contact them again at the end to pay the tourist tax. Never again.

I stayed for two nights, and the only reason I didn’t leave that same evening was that I couldn’t find anywhere else. The room was tiny for four of us, even though I’d told the kind lady it would be me, my wife, our five-year-old daughter, and our one-year-old, who slept in a travel crib. She’d assured us over the phone there would be enough room. The bed was rickety and falling apart, the TV didn’t work, and the bathroom was disgusting. I was shocked when I realized the lady and her whole family lived in the house. A horrifying experience. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

We had to call repeatedly after telling them our flight was delayed, otherwise we would have been left outside. The owner wasn’t home, and we had to call again. There were no towels, and breakfast was just milk and coffee with leftovers from other guests. We also didn’t receive an invoice after paying. I would have appreciated more hospitality. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
