Courtyard by Marriott Rome Central Park

The staff made the stay feel relaxed and well supported. Everyone I spoke with was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a balcony as a nice extra, and the location near the Gemelli train station made it straightforward to get around Rome. We also had a wide choice of very good restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was fresh and varied each morning, and consistently enjoyable. Altogether, I had a smooth, very positive stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Rome Central Park and would be happy to return on another visit to Rome.

The staff were really warm and polite, and the lobby restaurant had good food and wine. Our room was roomy and clean, with a large balcony. A great stay in Rome, especially if you need to be near Gemelli Klinik.

The restaurant being right there made meals easy, and the location was decent, with a metro station nearby. Getting from the airport still meant connecting through Roma termini, which was a trek. We stayed three days last week. The service started out okay, though the front desk could have been friendlier when we arrived. The rooms felt fair for the price. If you're visiting from the US, bring a European adapter to charge your devices.

The walk to the nearby station is about five minutes, then it’s a quick change to the Metro. We found that a pretty local-feeling way to get around, a bit like Chicago. Buses from nearby stops work too, and Google Maps made the routes easy to figure out. A couple of evenings we took an Uber back from Travestere. It was about EUR 30 and took 25 minutes. We also followed the walking and biking trail by the station all the way to the Vatican on Easter, until Maps sent us onto Rome’s streets. That turned into a great adventure. We were a little startled when we first arrived and realized the hotel was outside the city center. We’d booked five nights for our first Rome trip using Marriott points, and hadn’t thought much about the location beforehand. Once we settled in, though, we were happy with the experience. It was a very clean, well-run hotel, and our comfortable room was kept almost spotless every day.
