We used Daplace – Santa Susanna Suites as our base for official engagements in Rome, and its position worked especially well for getting to both government and religious sites on foot. The suites were quiet and welcoming, with modern comforts alongside the feel of a traditional Roman home. Set on Via Firenze 43, near Piazza della Repubblica and the Quirinale area, it was also within walking distance of historic sights, cultural institutions, and diplomatic venues. It was a practical spot for ceremonies and cultural events, while still giving us a chance to experience the city’s history, faith, culture, and public life.

The room had the basics we needed, plus plenty of shampoo and soap, which was appreciated. It was dusty on top of the shelves and behind the headboard, though, and that bothered our allergies. We could also hear disruptive noise from the hall, but it wasn't a huge deal. Staff were friendly, let us in, explained the elevator, and checked that we had what we needed. The location made it easy to walk to the main station, Trevi Fountain, and Spanish Steps, and we also walked to the coliseum and Vatican. A great place to stay, and try the Georgian restaurant downstairs.

I only stayed one night, and the location felt very secure. The train station was under a 10-minute walk away, with a metro stop about 2 minutes from the place. Communication was excellent.
