The location is fantastic, and we slept great. The room felt a bit worn, though, and could use a refresh. There were stains and wear on the walls, and the bathroom looked like it needed some updating. It was pretty much as advertised, just a slightly unusual setup: reception isn’t at street level, so you go inside and up one floor. No big deal. Jimmy met us, helped with our bags, and made sure we were settled in. Thanks, Jimmy.

This was my second stay, and the location and staff are hard to beat. We walked to all the sights and major neighborhoods, with the Pantheon literally steps away. Check-in was easy, unless you’re a boomer like some of the people who reviewed this hotel. The staff were incredibly nice and attentive, shoutout Christina. Even in 90-degree heat, the AC kept the room frigid. Just know what you’re booking: it isn’t a five-star resort hotel, and you’ll enjoy it.

The room was large and clean, and the location put us close to all the main sites. There were lots of restaurants nearby, including one of my favorite places right outside the front door. I’m writing mainly because of the service. The woman who checked us in went out of her way to help and was always available when we needed anything. I’d absolutely stay here again. Her service alone makes this a five-star hotel.

The rooms are huge compared with most European hotels, and the memory foam mattresses were so comfortable. Both the bathroom and room were impeccably clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful from the moment we booked through the whole stay, and they even left us complimentary red wine. It’s more like guest house apartments than a hotel, and it’s just steps from the Pantheon. I’d absolutely recommend it.
