The central location is good and the price is fairly cheap, but the downsides made this a very disappointing stay during our school trip. Breakfast was basic. It was somewhat understandable for the price, though I'd suggest eating elsewhere if you can. Our room was tiny and dirty, and the beds were uncomfortable. The linen didn't feel clean, so sleeping and relaxing were difficult. The walls were so thin we could hear our neighbours word for word, and the Wi-Fi was poor and unreliable. Windows wouldn't close properly, leaving the room cold, and there were no thick blankets to keep us warm at night. Staff were unfriendly too. At midnight, one of them told us to leave our friends' room, return to ours, and go straight to sleep, basically setting us a bedtime. There were only four of us, quietly talking and playing cards. Our school group occupied the whole floor, so no other guests had complained. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else, then enjoy Rome.

Breakfast was part of the room price, with coffee or tea and three kinds of croissants to choose from. The Wi-Fi worked well. We also had a private bathroom and toilet, towels and bath towels that were replaced every two days, and a hair dryer.

It's budget accommodation, so it's decent for the price. The room was very clean and smelled nice, and the housekeeper cleaned every day. Towels and linen were clean as well, and the shower was good, though the water was too hot for me. Breakfast was okay but had few choices: coffee, milk, cereal, and pastries. The person working at night didn't speak much English, but he was extremely kind and tried to help. The area felt quite deserted in the evening, and not very nice.

The hostel felt safe once we were inside, and the housekeeper was sweet. Our sheets smelled good, and staff at breakfast were helpful when I asked for gluten-free food because of my celiac disease. They brought out several options. I slept well apart from the air conditioner making a loud, repetitive clicking noise, and outside noise wasn't too bad. My friend and I are both women, and the area felt sketchy enough that we avoided being outside after dark. We saw a lot of people who seemed sketchy on the walk to the hostel and generally felt unsafe on this side of the station. Nothing too serious happened, mostly strange looks and people following us for a couple of streets, but we felt okay once inside. The room itself was very bare-bones and dreary, with stark white walls, little decoration, and harsh overhead lighting that gave me a headache. The beds were rickety and felt like they might crumble if we moved too much. The bathroom also seemed less clean, with a broken, bumpy toilet seat and buildup on the shower head. I wouldn't choose it for a long stay or recommend it for women traveling alone. For a short visit where you mostly need somewhere to sleep, it works well.

It's a good, clean, friendly place to stay without spending a lot. The Roman neighborhood is lively, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops, and public transport is good too.
