Dodo Holiday in Rome

We were a couple traveling with a small baby, and the owner offered to bring a cot at no extra cost. The room was clean, fresh, and spacious, with heating and AC when needed. Best of all, the blackout curtains helped a lot. The location has good connections to the city center, with a supermarket nearby for groceries and a few restaurants in the area. Since there was no transport available at midnight, the owner or manager picked us up from the airport and allowed a late check-in. We paid for a ride back to the airport at 3am too, which was very kind.

The building looks old from outside, but the rooms are very good, with a clean bathroom and good facilities. There’s a bus stop nearby, though the buses are usually busy.

The price was one of the lowest we found during our time in Europe, and the transport links were very good. Bus 545 stops nearby and takes you to the nearest train station. There are several restaurants close by, including a Chinese restaurant just over 50 m away that we ate at throughout our stay. They didn’t clean the room or replace the towels during our 4 days there. Internet was average and sometimes slow, and only a limited number of staff manage the place. If they cleaned the rooms, I think they’d get a better rating.

The AC was the only good part of the apartment. The location is somewhat far away, though two buses go toward the hotel. There was no daily maintenance, so we had to reuse our towels for 4 days, and the manager was nearly never at his desk and always seemed annoyed by our questions or requests. The apartment had almost no useful facilities: no microwave, the kettle was rusty, and there were no washing supplies. We had to share two plates, cups, spoons, forks, and knives with two other apartments. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow, and most of the time we couldn’t get online.
