Domus Gallo B&B

A lovely guesthouse, clean and tidy, in a good location. Breakfast was delicious at a welcoming little bar.

Our host Mario was so helpful, giving us pointers on getting around and places to visit. The B&B is clean, reasonably priced, and close to Termini, so you can head anywhere from right outside. We’d happily come back, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Since posting what I thought was a fair, honest review, I’ve been getting harassed by the hotel owner, who keeps demanding that I take it down. Even if the stay had been better, I wouldn’t support this person. The room was very clean, and communication with the host was excellent. We also appreciated being able to check in at a flexible time. But breakfast wasn’t provided. Instead, we got a coupon for coffee at a low-quality convenience store. The air conditioner was so loud we couldn’t sleep, and the bed and pillows were extremely firm, even compared with other firm mattresses. That’s a personal preference, but it was too much for us. Some of the towels and soap felt cheap, more like what you’d get at a one-star hotel. We wouldn’t recommend the place or stay there again.

Mario, the owner, is lovely and helped us find our way around Rome. We really enjoyed staying at Domus Gallo B&B. The apartment was comfortable and very clean, and breakfast was delicious. We’ll choose Domus Gallo again next time.
