The bed was decent, but every sound from upstairs came through. The building sits somewhere between the Vatican and the Colosseum, though getting to either is still a substantial walk. It's tucked into a back corner of Rome, on a street where I saw more homeless people at night than I wanted to encounter. The glowing reviews mention great food and service, but what we found was an old apartment building with two units and lockboxes. There was no food or service, just a bed, a bathroom, and four walls.

Domus Orbitelli gave me a wonderfully relaxing stay. The rooms were elegant, the amenities were top-notch, and the location was just right. From arrival, the staff impressed me with their care and attention to detail. I'd happily recommend this memorable five-star retreat.

For the low price, the food's taste and portions were really good. My room was generally clean and had all the facilities I needed, and service was quick. I enjoyed the stay and found it comfortable.
