Doria Palace Boutique Hotel

Staff were welcoming and helpful, especially Luca and Ana, and the rooms were clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. It's a small, modern hotel at a reasonable price, and we'd recommend it. You're near the main train station, which is useful for rail trips but puts you farther from Rome's main sights and graffiti-free streets. Still, we could walk to places in about 20-30 minutes. The elevator is tiny, as others have said, so a big suitcase won't fit comfortably, but there are stairs. We skipped the hotel's breakfast; two breakfast spots across the street make that easy.

Termini Station and Maria Maggiore are both nearby, which made the location ideal. The front desk team were welcoming and on hand to help at any hour. Breakfast on the roof terrace had a good range, and the woman cooking and serving it was lovely and accommodating. Our room was spotless each day, and the bathroom was brand new with excellent water pressure. I'll definitely return.

Alessandro at the front desk was especially helpful and did a lot to make us feel comfortable. The staff were friendly in general, and our room was made up whenever we returned, even though we were out at different times. It had a comfortable king bed, hot water, and good shower pressure. There were a few carpet stains, but the floors were clean. The hotel sits in a busy area across from the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, though it rarely felt crowded. Roma Termini, public transit, taxis, and Uber were easy to reach. Most things we wanted to see were a 15-40 minute walk away, or a 15-30 minute ride when we were too tired to walk.

Breakfast was just right, and the front desk team stayed professional and helpful. The bed was great, the room was quiet, and I could set the temperature myself. It also had all the basic amenities I needed, including good slippers. Everything about my stay felt flawless. Glad I found my new favorite boutique hotel in Rome.
