We felt safe and at home while traveling abroad, thanks to Stefano’s incredible hospitality. Late at night, he went out of his way to find me an American adapter so I could plug in my curling iron. Later, after my boyfriend and I left our passports in the room and traveled from Rome to Naples, we had to return to Rome to get them. Stefano biked to the train station to hand them over, so we wouldn’t have to take an Uber back to the hotel. The best hospitality I’ve ever experienced.

We stayed in the family room, which had a double bed, two singles, plenty of space, and a modern bathroom. It’s a clean, modern place with very friendly people, set among residential apartment blocks in a converted apartment. The main sights are about an hour away on foot, though the Vatican is only 20 minutes away. Very good value compared with other places.

It felt very safe, and the courtyard was lovely. The room and bathroom were clean, modern, and nicely decorated, but pretty cramped for two, with little room for luggage or clothes. There were plenty of power outlets, so bring adapters. The plumbing was new, though the water felt limited. There’s a community kitchen, and getting into the building and room requires two keys. The desk is only open part of the day, so we messaged the manager on WhatsApp. Breakfast was more like coffee and a pastry, and the croissants were burned and stale, as if they were leftovers from a local bakery. Small rooms seem normal for mid-range city hotels, though. We enjoyed our stay and would return to Dreams of Rome.

We booked this at the train station yesterday, right at the end of our European tour for our 25th anniversary. What a surprise, everything was great, and it was the only place where breakfast was brought to our room. Excellent.
