The location is great and the space is nice, but it isn’t being cleaned or maintained properly. As of April 2024, the rental agency is Rome Loft. There are several serious trip hazards, especially at night when they can’t be seen: a large step from the bedroom into the hall, then a smaller one from the hall into the bathroom. A lot of things were grimy, including the floors, dining table, chairs, plates, and freezer. Some basic food items had been left behind, probably by previous renters: salt, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and peppercorns, though there was no grinder. The kitchen is short on important basics. There’s no regular coffee maker or pot, and no baking dishes. The tiny electric kettle has a broken lid; there are a few large knives but no paring knives, and the peeler is very old and bent. The bathroom faucet has no aerator, so water splashes onto the counter instead of flowing into the sink. The light above the bathroom sink doesn’t work at all. I texted Rome Loft, and they sent a couple of cleaners to wet mop a few spots. They ignored our other requests for repairs and basic kitchen items. Nobody seems to check that the rentals are in good shape before new guests arrive, and the agency wasn’t responsive while we were there. For that reason, I can’t recommend renting through them.
