We booked both apartments, which gave us more choice about where everyone slept. Just remember they’re two separate units. Each has two sofa beds in the open living and kitchen area, and sleeping there wasn’t the most comfortable. Both apartments were clean and well equipped, and the location is hard to beat, between St. Peter's Square and Castel Sant'Angelo in a charming pedestrian area. In the second apartment, the stairs up to the sleeping area are very steep and the ceiling is low, so watch your head. The rooftop terrace has no view, but it’s still a nice place to sit outside after a long day exploring. Federica was quick, friendly, and easy to deal with through Booking and WhatsApp. It’s a nice place to stay.

The apartment worked comfortably for two adults and two kids, with a sofa bed in the living area. It was clean and everything was in working order. We had a small hot water problem one morning, but a phone call got it fixed in minutes. Coan Apartments were also quick to reply with check-in advice. The location is great for Vatican City and the Museums, and there are some of Rome's trendiest places to eat nearby. I’d book again if we come back to Rome. Just keep in mind that the company rents two apartments in the same complex, and many sites combine photos from both.

It was good, but not the best. The owners could put more work into the place.

The location was the one good thing. The accommodation was nowhere near what we expected: very dusty and dirty, with such low ceilings that we hit our heads every day and had to duck in the bathroom on the second floor. It felt like a complete dump. The stairs were extremely wobbly. The sheets and duvet covers were just cloths that came loose from the ceiling during the night. When we asked for a fix, they only sent quilts. The poor hygiene made us feel really uncomfortable.
