We spent two nights here with our camper, a great starting point for exploring Rome. Trains run regularly from nearby into the city centre in 15 minutes, and they're very cheap. The facilities felt a little dated, but they were clean and spacious. The camping spots are on the small side, though they worked well enough.

We visited over Christmas, and check-in was quick and friendly. The person who welcomed us handled everything efficiently and gave us the keys. Our house matched the website photos about 90 percent: the inside and balcony looked as pictured, while the outdoor area was different. It had good heating, a well-equipped kitchen, and a suitably sized fridge. As described, the bedrooms were small, but that was fine. With two bathrooms and toilets, the house worked very well for our four people. The outdoor space looked beautiful and well cared for. Check-out was simple and respectful, and we left with lovely memories.

We were close to Rome, so it worked for a day or two, but I wouldn't stay longer. The ACSI pitches are very small, and we could barely fit our caravan and minivan. You have to fill up with water at the camper service. Staff seemed distrustful and wanted to keep our passports at reception, apparently worried we wouldn't pay, so I paid straight away. There were also dogs barking in the neighborhood.

The restaurant was a letdown. We waited almost two hours for four pizzas, and they tasted like something you'd put in the oven at home, not awful, but not worth the time or cost. If you eat there, keep your expectations in check or find food somewhere else. Even so, we really enjoyed the campsite as a base for visiting Rome. Getting into the city was easy, the reception staff were welcoming and helpful, and the service facilities were clean and well looked after. The price seemed fair for the location, especially with such a nice pool area and a nearby bar. I'd bring snacks just in case.

The bicycle service was handy and brought our bikes and bags back to the Netherlands for a fairly reasonable price. The campsite had good facilities and staff, and it's conveniently near a train station for getting into Rome. Our field was terrible, full of rocks, so we couldn't set up our tents properly or lie comfortably. We had to use a narrow strip of somewhat decent ground along the pitch edge. Other spots looked better, but it would've cost too much for six one-person tents, since we had to pay separately for each tent as well as the pitch.
