The quiet, beautiful grounds were a lovely way to slow down after Florence. Lanfranco and his wife Flavia were gracious and drove us to and from restaurants, as well as to the park at Ostia. They greeted us warmly as soon as we arrived by taxi. We had a double room with what’s usually a shared kitchen, but luckily had the kitchen to ourselves. It was stocked with all sorts of breakfast goodies. Highly recommend.

The WiFi worked perfectly while I was working almost the whole time, and small stores and restaurants are an easy walk away. The pool looked nice and well maintained. The room was nice, and one of the owners’ cats came in to greet me. I’d been traveling for nearly three months without seeing my own cat, so that cheered me up. I was nervous about booking somewhere small, but everything else in the area, hostels included, was sold out. I’m glad I stayed here. The owners are kind and hands-on, and I’ll try smaller places more often. I’d bring my mom here when she finally gets to come to Italy.

We picked this place for our last night of our Italy honeymoon because it’s so near the airport, but I wish we’d booked another day or two. The host was warm and welcoming, and had plenty of good food suggestions. There’s a pool for relaxing, and some precious kitties live here too. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a restful stay and wonderful hospitality.

We were there for one night, October 8th, 2025, before flying home the next morning. Franco and his wife gave us a warm welcome. Our room was clean and nicely set up, with coffee, breakfast food in the fridge, and pleasant toiletries. We had a rental car and could park securely inside their gated yard. There’s also a pool in the yard, which we didn’t use, though it would be a bonus in hot weather. Franco suggested restaurants and nearby places to see. They have cats, so keep that in mind if allergies are an issue.
