I wouldn’t be writing this if Nicolas hadn’t been so fantastic. He was incredibly kind and caring, and offered help whenever he could. The apartment was lovely and kept tidy. I’d heard people complain about the air conditioner, but ours worked like a charm. Easily my best experience in Italy, and Nicolas is honestly the nicest man I’ve ever met.

We felt right at home in this spacious, airy apartment, with every comfort taken care of. The Co-op nearby made it easy to cater for ourselves. The place is a lovely little oasis amid the busy city, in a beautiful historic building that’s been thoughtfully converted. Our friends were at a nearby five-star hotel, where drink prices matched the rating, so we invited them over to ours for cocktails before dinner.

Coming back to the apartment after a day or night out was always lovely. It’s spacious, clean, atmospheric, and in a great location, with cool decor, including some Ikea. We paid just a few euros more than the standard room, and the apartment really does look like the pictures. The person running the hotel was super friendly and helpful. GH is part of a building with other occupants, rather than a hotel by itself. The apartment and its street are quiet. If you’re staying in the apartment, there’s a food store two minutes away. The building entrance is striking, with the feel of a museum or grand palazzo. I can’t think of any real negatives. Maybe they could rethink how the shower steam affects the ceiling paint. You can sometimes feel the underground metro trains vibrating on the lower floor, but the bedroom is upstairs, so it didn’t bother me.

Nicolas, the owner, was friendly, nice, and helpful. The apartment was comfortable and had everything a traveler needs, in a 16th-century palazzo. Its interior design was interesting too, modern, youthful, and colorful. We’d warmly recommend staying here.
