We had a fantastic time in Rome and would definitely come back. The family room was clean, well kept, and roomy for two adults and three children, and the hosts were great. The free coffee in reception was a nice extra. It was also surprisingly quiet inside, even with such a central location. All the main sights were less than a 10-minute walk away.

Our room wasn’t clean. There was a stain on the bed, hair on it and even on the curtains. The floor was clean, but the wall wasn’t. At reception, they tried to charge city tax for my 7-year-old son, saying it was required, and the staff member didn’t know the rules. Check what the city tax covers and what you’re being asked to pay.

Ovi was kind and cooperative, and the room was very clean. I didn’t care for the view, though. We had a balcony, but it looked into the house. Everything is nearby, with walks of around 10 to 13 minutes at most.

We found the staff friendly, and they replied regularly to our messages on Booking. The hotel is charming and well located. We stayed in room number 4, a small room with everything needed for a short stay, since we mostly used it for sleeping. Our room faced a shared terrace inside the hotel, where the air conditioning units made a buzzing sound. There was no window, only a door that could be tilted open or opened all the way. Some people may have security concerns about that, but it didn’t bother us.

The balcony was a real plus, and the rooms were quite nice. The hotel is right among Rome’s boutique stores, which made the location great. Service was pretty good, although we had trouble finding the receptionist and only saw one at the hotel on our last day. Having a coffee machine just outside the room in the lobby-like area was handy too.
