I booked this apartment, Vatican Giuliana apartment 38 via Booking.com. They emailed asking me to update my credit card details. Even after I replied through Booking.com, they cancelled the property just one or two hours before check-in. I tried many times to reach the phone number listed on Booking.com, but couldn't get through. I was desperate and helpless, stuck out in the rain with all our bags, my elderly mother, my 7-year-old child, and the rest of my family. I strongly advise people not to book this apartment. Very, very, very disgusting.

We were six people, with four children, in this ground-floor accommodation. There's a double bed in the bedroom, plus a bunk bed and another folding bed in the room with the dining area and kitchen. It's enough for six if you're mainly using the place to sleep, shower, and eat. The furnishings are old, but clean and quite OK. The accommodation is clean, in a good location across from several pizza fast food shops, and decent for the price. There's a metro station a seven-minute walk away, and the contact person was friendly. The main complaint is that you can't enter until 3 pm. They usually leave the key at the Popaye pizzeria across the street. In the video, you can see the pizzeria where you pick up the key and the building entrance across the street.

Right by the metro, with Trastevere close by, this felt like a little gem in the middle of Rome. The Vatican view was fabulous, and the home had every comfort.
