Booked through VRBO, and the communication was great before, during, and after our stay. The clean property had four bedrooms and four bathrooms, which worked very well for our group of four. Good value for the location, with cafes within walking distance and a grocery store across the street.

We had trouble getting into the building because it wasn’t clear where the apartment was or how to enter. It took us more than half an hour to find our room from the moment we reached the building door. The train station and Vatican are close, but in the early evening we couldn’t get a taxi to Rome’s center, since there are no nearby taxi stands. They do make an effort to keep the place comfortable and clean, but don’t be misled by the stars or price: at best, I’d call this a two-star facility.

The bus stop is right outside and there’s a shop too, but the metro is quite far away. Inside, the apartment looked better in the photos. It’s old, with worn paint and old linoleum, and although there are three bathrooms, the showers and hoses are broken. For the money, I’d think twice. Update: I wrote what I truly experienced, and the reply to my review four years later is proof, as everyone can see below. I hope things have improved over those four years, and wish you luck.

The Vatican is only a few minutes away on foot, and the station is very close. There’s a bus stop opposite, plus a mini market, several pharmacies, cafeterias, and more nearby. Riccardo is really helpful and always responds to messages. I’d definitely recommend it.
