I booked and paid for this hotel months ahead of my trip to italy. Two months later, the owner messaged me on booking to say they couldn’t host us because they were closing the hotel on the dates we’d reserved, and asked me to cancel. Now the same room is listed again for those dates at double the price. So I guess they aren’t really closing, they just lied to make more profit. Stay away if you don’t want your vacation put at risk by the administration’s greed.

The welcome at reception was warm, and the room was fair for the price. The other guests were respectful and quiet, so the soundproofing issue didn’t bother us much. Still, the mattresses were too soft and uncomfortable, and we found some hair in the room, so cleanliness needs more attention. The bed linens also seemed old and worn and could use renewing. With a few improvements, the stay could be truly excellent.

We spent two nights here and had a lovely time. Everyone made us feel welcome, and both the service and atmosphere were great. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

The neighborhood has plenty of good bars and restaurants, and a tram stop just outside gets you to Piazza di Popolo in about 10 minutes. Inside, the room had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen. They also offered cake, fruit, tea, coffee, and more. The staff were kind and helpful, and I’d happily recommend staying here in Rome.
