The rooms themselves were clean and decent, and the AC and bathrooms worked well. But the bed was too hard for a good night's sleep, and the place only provides basic services at a mediocre level. The breakfast doesn't really feel like a proper breakfast, just a kind of sweet bread, juice, and a cup of something to drink. I wouldn't recommend it for families.

The location is pretty good if you're visiting the Vatican, about a 10-minute walk away. It's much farther to the Colosseum, Pantheon, or Fontana di Trevi, around 40 to 50 minutes on foot. There are also plenty of good places to eat and shop just around the corner. Breakfast was average. The orange juice was a terrible, cheap supermarket brand, the coffee wasn't bad but you can find much better nearby, and the croissant was neither good nor bad. We were assigned room 4, so I can't say whether these room issues affect the others. The bathroom ventilation was awful. After my wife showered at night, we didn't open the room doors for a while, and by morning all our clothes were a little wet. The humidity also affected the coffee beans we'd bought, so be careful with those. There was a terrible smell from the bathroom too. Opening the windows seemed like the only option, but that's not really practical when you've come to Rome in November. There was no heating in the room at any time, and we couldn't turn it on. If you shower and then open the windows, be ready to feel cold for a while. And if you want to enjoy Rome's nightlife and sleep late, forget it. The cleaning service will wake you up. I guess that's normal since the place isn't very big.

The hotel was good, in a great location, and the staff were friendly. It was very clean, though a bit more effort could have made it five-star. There was only one tea bag, a random, small selection of toiletries, and the shower gel dispenser was empty.

Getting around was easy, with the Underground and sightseeing spots well connected. The rooms were nice and everything was really well organized. It was a great stay for the price, though breakfast felt a little limited, which seems typical for Italy.

The cafe breakfast was tasty, and the location worked really well. Our room was very clean, the employees were lovely, and having air conditioning was a big help during my summer visit.
