Hotel Balilla

Upol was the star of our stay, helping us with everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious, and the rooftop view was gorgeous. The neighborhood felt very safe and local. The hotel is right by Termini Station, with the monuments about 20 minutes away on foot. I had a wonderful stay!

After a week in Italy, my wife and I stayed here, and it was the worst experience of all the places we visited. The other staff seemed nice, but couldn't do much with their employer. The owner was rude and curt whenever he spoke to us. Breakfast was just coffee and croissants. When we asked for fruit, he pointed us to a local supermarket. At checkout, he wouldn't keep our bags at reception so we could manage our late flight. He told us to leave and even started pushing our bags out. I regret not reading the earlier reviews. The worst experience ever!

We had a good rest at night. The room was clean and tidy, the bed comfortable, and the soundproofing was good. The staff were warm, and check-in and checkout were very efficient. The hotel's location was convenient, with food and transport easy to find nearby. I was very satisfied with the stay.

We stayed for just one day, and the owner spoiled it. The advertised buffet didn't exist. There were only croissants and coffee, not even bread, cheese, or anything else, and the owner showed attitude when we asked for a cappuccino. He was rude and irritated, and physically abusive. People like that shouldn't work in hospitality. The experience completely tainted how we think of Rome and its people.
