Hotel Boomerang

The room was technically clean, but it felt rough and had a horrible lingering smell. It looked nothing like the polished photos used to attract guests. The pool in the photo is out of commission, empty, filthy, and seemingly untouched for years. The grounds feel decayed and nasty, with neglect everywhere. The location is terrible. You’re basically stranded in the middle of the highway unless you have your own car or want to take a taxi every time you go in or out. I’m trying to get a refund because the whole experience feels like a scam. Save your money and spare yourself the headache by staying somewhere else.

The price looks tempting, but I’d advise checking proper offline maps before booking. The booking site’s map showed a shorter distance, and I only realized after arriving that getting there was an adventure. Not for the faint-hearted or anyone who dislikes adventure.

You’ll need a car or public transport to get here. There’s a bus stop within walking distance, and the hotel is outside Rome city, though the surroundings are beautiful. That’s my only reservation. I’d definitely recommend it. The hotel was clean and spacious, and breakfast was good. Staff treated me and my family very well from check-in through check-out. Andrea helped us find a place for our morning prayer and provided a beautiful meeting room. Federico arranged transportation for checkout during a taxi strike. I didn’t get the check-in gentleman’s name, but he kindly gave us a complimentary late checkout.

A great, clean place with lovely service. I was very pleased. It’s about 20 minutes by taxi to the coliseum.
