The best part of our short stay was the welcome from Adolf at the front desk. He was friendly, professional, and easy to talk to, and helped with our questions about the area. That kindness made the visit memorable. The room was clean, cozy, and well kept, and the air conditioning worked perfectly through the sweltering summer weather. After walking around Rome in the heat, coming back to a cool room made a big difference. Chicago Hotel is right near Termini station, just steps from the central train terminal, so getting around or catching an early train was easy. Despite being so close, the hotel felt safe and comfortable. It’s not a luxury property, but it offered practical comfort and good value. We stayed one night and wished we’d booked longer. We’d happily come back to Chicago Hotel, and recommend it to anyone wanting a friendly, reliable place in a convenient location. Thanks again, Adolf, you made our visit extra special!

I paid €90 for a short stay at Hotel Chicago, from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM on the 5th. The room cost €80, and borrowing a phone charger for an hour cost another €10. While I was asleep and charging my phone, a male receptionist came in and woke me just to take the charger back. I felt extremely disturbed and uncomfortable. The room was ugly, with a small high window that let in hardly any light. It was a very unpleasant experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Benjamin was really polite and nice, and everything else was great too. It’s a good spot for sightseeing and pretty close to the train station if you’re traveling by train.

The area around Termini felt unsafe to us one night. We were followed as we walked back to the hotel, though during the day the area was completely fine. For a safer-feeling route late at night, the back streets seemed better. We had a delightful stay at Hotel Chicago, helped along by a lovely birthday surprise for my wife: a rose and a small gift in the room. The welcome was warm, and the staff showed us to our room promptly. The hotel is simple, without many facilities, but it’s a good fit for a short visit of two to three days. Termini is very close, with trains and airport transport nearby, and there are restaurants and shops around. Rome’s main attractions start about a fifteen-minute walk away. The shower drain was a drawback. Water took a long time to go down, and although we reported it, the problem persisted, likely because of a larger plumbing issue. Still, it didn’t ruin the experience. For a straightforward, comfortable stay near the heart of Rome, Hotel Chicago worked well for us.
