The price was a little steep, though everything in Rome seems to be. The rooms were comfortable and kept most of the road noise out. Some hallway sound came through, but it didn’t stay busy late at night. Front desk and breakfast staff were amazing. The location is central to the major sights, and bus stations right nearby can take you anywhere.

We had a spotless, sufficiently spacious room with a high ceiling, and the check-in process was quick. Reception staff were very friendly and gave us useful information. Street noise is heavy, but with the soundproof windows closed the room becomes quiet. The location is excellent, and you can walk to nearly all the sights. If you’d rather take a bus, there’s a stop right outside with direct routes to most places, including the Vatican, Colosseum and Termini. We stayed five nights around mid-March.

The hotel staff were friendly and really helpful, which made exploring much easier. Louisa, if I’ve got the name right, was especially welcoming and knew the area well. The location is central to the main sights, and even with my poor sense of direction I found my way around Rome. Locals, particularly at the restaurants, were helpful too. For my first solo trip, this was definitely something you should do.

The location was a wise choice for the couple of days we had in Rome before our cruise. We could walk to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and the Parthenon in about 15-20 minutes, so it was easy to see everything in our limited time. There are lots of good restaurants nearby, especially around Piazza Navona. Our flight landed at 6:30 in the morning, and we got to the hotel by 9:00. The staff let us leave our bags while we went exploring; our room was ready by noon, so we could rest before heading out again that evening. The hotel was wonderful, with very clean, well appointed rooms and friendly, accommodating staff. Breakfast is well worth it. There’s a wide choice of food, and the coffee and espresso machine made drinks as good as the ones at local coffee shops. Highly recommend this hotel. You won’t be disappointed.
