Hotel Divine Rome

Dust was everywhere, especially under the bed, and I started sneezing right away. I have asthma and a dust allergy, so the room made me feel sick. There was mold on the bedroom and bathroom walls, the toilet seat was broken, and the air conditioning didn't work despite the very hot weather. When we showed the problems to the receptionist, he said mold was normal because the hotel was so high up. We left that same night and slept at another hotel. Don't stay here. Book somewhere else.

The staff were consistently kind and polite, and the room was cleaned every day. Still, avoid this place. I don't know why it has five or six hotel names when they're all one, or why they want you to leave your room card with staff when you go out. You might have to pay for air conditioning, but in my room it was either broken or didn't exist. Half the lightbulbs were out, and the shower head was broken too.

The room was clean, though the hotel itself is fairly old, and the quality seemed in line with what we paid. Finding it was confusing: Google and booking call it Hotel Divine Rome, but after we called because we couldn't locate it, we learned its name is Giorgi Hotel.

Breakfast was included and served at a nearby bar, just a croissant and coffee. Wi-fi was available in the rooms, and the city tax adds EUR3.50 to the room price. This place sits somewhere between a bed-and-breakfast and a hotel. Hotel Divine Rome is worth considering only if you're okay with no frills and find a reasonable rate. Don't expect modern decor, a soft bed, or a large TV. My refrigerator didn't work, and having no air conditioning or heating could be an issue in summer or winter. As of Sep 2016, there were no hotel signs at the address, Via Magenta, 13, 3rd floor, or at the reception desk at Via Vicenza 20, 1st floor. The intercom there said "Lam Guest House".
