Hotel Mimosa

When we missed a connecting flight on our latest trip to Rome, the hotel kept in touch and made sure the driver was there after we rescheduled our airport pickup. That kind of help is why this is my go-to place when I'm in Rome. The staff are incredibly friendly, and they suggested some lovely restaurants and coffee shops. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet, and I felt completely safe. The location is perfect, with everything within walking distance. I just adore this hotel.

Getting a bottle of water from the vending machine was a hassle: you had to download the app, create an account, and add a payment method, which defeats the point of having a machine for convenience. The receptionist was very helpful and ordered one for us through his account. The hotel itself was decent, and the location was perfect, with many attractions just a short walk away.

The morning front desk staff were fantastic at suggesting places we hadn't thought of visiting, and they answered all our questions about the area. We also found great food less than a five-minute walk away, plus excellent espresso and a quick breakfast in the square to the left of the entrance. We picked this location to be close to the things we wanted to do, and it worked perfectly. We walked everywhere in central Rome and took a cab to the airport at the end, from a taxi waiting area a short walk away. Our room was quiet, with no outside noise; we only heard hotel neighbors coming back at night.

The Wi-Fi was sometimes unreliable, so we used our cellular data instead. Other than that, we had a great stay at Hotel Mimosa. The receptionists were all friendly and helpful, and the hotel sits on a quiet side street close to many major sights. Our room was clean and seemed recently renovated. It had AC, though the weather was nice enough that we didn't use it. Even though it was almost beside the lobby, nighttime noise really wasn't an issue.
