Hotel Roma Aurelia Antica

Our flight was cancelled, so we ended up here with no choice. We had our children with us, but the hotel wouldn't put us in rooms near them or even try to help. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude and yelled at us because we didn't understand what kind of room she was assigning us. She shouldn't be working at a customer service desk; she should be a warden. We've stayed everywhere, and this was by far the worst customer service we've ever had. If you're choosing a place to book, I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

The room wasn't ready when we arrived, so we waited another hour, and it still reeked of smoke. They just sprayed glen 20 and walked away. Staff were extremely rude, and the hotel is ages away from the city centre. They charge €5 just to refill a water bottle with clean water because the tap water in the rooms isn't safe to drink. Would NOT recommend.

The shower was either ice cold or boiling, with no way to get a comfortable temperature. The rooms are bare and utilitarian, and the hotel is many, many miles from anywhere. To open the window, you need a technician to come with a wrench, then you have to MacGyver something to hold it open. Breakfast was completely forgettable. Utterly meh.

We booked five nights for work (Sigma) and are on the second floor. Guests slam doors and talk loudly in the corridor until around midnight or 1 AM, and it starts again at 6am. They've even knocked on my doors disrespectfully. Staff haven't warned anyone or taken action. After housekeeping cleaned, they left our room door open with my laptop, passport, and other belongings inside. When I complained, I was told, “Housekeeping sometimes forgets.” That's unacceptable. The hotel only provides drinking water on the first day, which is ridiculous. It absolutely doesn't deserve 4 stars. I'll never recommend this place and will file complaints everywhere necessary.
