Hotel San Remo

The hotel is very nice, with a clean, comfortable room and an excellent, convenient location near Termini Station. You don’t have to walk far, which is especially handy for travelers. One downside was the service from a receptionist, a young woman with blonde hair. She wasn’t welcoming and showed little basic courtesy. Her manner felt unprofessional, as though she were welcoming someone into her own home instead of serving a paying hotel guest. I hope management puts more attention into training reception staff in hospitality and friendliness. They’re the face of the hotel and have a big effect on the guest experience.

The staff are so friendly, accommodating, and helpful, and the hotel is close to termini, making it easy to get around by metro and bus. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is quiet. They stored my luggage before check-in and offered to keep it after checkout too. I’d definitely recommend this place!

The renovations are amazing, the rooms are great, the staff are amazing, and breakfast rocks. This hotel is going to get expensive very soon. With a Vatican view, you’d pay $500 a night.

The location is very convenient, and the rooms are spacious and elegant, with recent renovations. But ours smelled bad, like sewage or mustiness. It seemed to come from the ventilation, so we couldn’t get rid of it. Maybe it was because renovations were still underway, but if the hotel isn’t ready, it shouldn’t rent out the rooms. The heating couldn’t be controlled, so our room was too hot. The lights were also on a movement sensor. At night, even a small movement turned them on, and we had to get up and go to the other side of the room to switch them off. That woke us several times. We told the hotel staff, but the second night was no better. It’s a shame, since the rooms are very nice.
