The breakfast was good, but the rooms were tiny, dirty, worn out, and nothing like the hotel's photos. This doesn't feel like a four-star place at all. The shower leaked so badly that every use left a huge puddle on the floor. It was hard to mop up with a towel, especially when it never had time to dry between showers. There was no soundproofing, and we kept feeling as though someone was pulling at our door. The hotel is right beside a sketchy neighborhood and felt unsafe at night. Thank goodness I wasn't alone. Getting to and from the city center was extremely difficult. Think twice before booking. You could find somewhere more worth your money and peace of mind. Two stars at most.

The website photos are completely misleading and don't show the hotel's actual condition. Our first room had a bathroom in terrible shape. After we reported it, we were moved at midnight into a downgraded room with twin beds, and had no choice but to make do. In the morning, we found the sink clogged and the room phones out of order. I went to reception three times to ask for maintenance, but nobody came. The same problem was still there the next morning. It was frustrating and unhygienic to be unable to use the sink properly during our vacation. I also saw mould in some parts of the bathroom. On top of that, some of our belongings were missing after housekeeping cleaned the room. Reception staff, especially two of the women, were rude and unhelpful throughout our stay. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The breakfast has been the worst I've had so far. Bread choices were very limited, the eggs were ice cold, and there was no cutlery on the tables. Service was practically nonexistent, and every request took far too long. I'm staying here now, and this hotel absolutely doesn't deserve a four-star rating. Definitely not recommended.

With a car, the rooms and services are good, and the hotel can be a decent deal if you don't mind paying for Ubers. Without a car, it's not a good base for touring Rome. Public transport connections are sparse, and the area can feel really spooky at night. The location suits drivers much better. Breakfast is included in the room price. It's decent for the cost, though I wouldn't call it the best. My stay left me satisfied overall, but the lack of air conditioning is an issue. In winter there are only heaters, and the room can get suffocating, so you'll have to open the windows. Maybe that's about saving money or sustainability, but in a four-star hotel I expect air conditioning.
