For the price and location, it had everything we needed. The hotel was clean and tidy, though nothing special. Most sights are walkable, including the Vatican if you don’t mind a good walk. Be aware there are stairs up to the small reception area, so this won’t suit you if you can’t manage stairs. Breakfast was included and served on a nice roof terrace, with Italian and continental options. Our safe didn’t work. We told a staff member, who said she’d look at it when we got back, but she’d left by then and nobody else seemed to know about it. We didn’t bring it up again because we had a lock on our suitcase, and the staff member didn’t follow up either.

The rooftop breakfast bar was really nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s also in a great location and was reasonably priced. We liked being close to an amazing Irish sports bar, but when we stayed in July 2017 the hotel was in poor condition, with building work still going on. The TV was very annoying, since it seemed to need programming almost every time we turned it on.

The rooms were clean, and the location was handy for walking to the metro and terminal station. But the breakfast was very limited and, for me, the worst food I had in Italy. When the milk or bread ran out, they didn’t replenish it, and the orange juice wasn’t natural. The hotel doors would close at random, leaving us unable to get in or out. We missed our train to Pisa because nobody was at reception to open the doors, and we waited 20 minutes for someone to arrive. They offered no help afterward and still charged us extra for tourist fees. The bed was very rigid, making it hard to sleep well. The room also needed more light and was always very dark. The air conditioning didn’t work at all, and Omaha was steamy hot day and night. Avoid it if you can.

It’s a small, cozy hotel with clean rooms and an authentic-looking design, in a really good location. Breakfast comes with excellent Italian espresso.
