Hotel Isa

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. There’s a chef who makes tasty omelettes and excellent cappuccino. The lovely rooftop restaurant serves breakfast and turns into a bar in the evening, with gorgeous city views. It doesn’t serve lunch or dinner. It’s a very quaint boutique hotel, a few blocks from the Vatican and close to lots of restaurants and attractions. I’ll certainly come back if or when I return to Rome.

The main historic sites can be a 30-40 minute walk from the hotel, but the neighborhood was quieter at night, which we liked. We had a lovely stay, and they thoughtfully upgraded our room and gave us champagne for our honeymoon. It was very sweet of them.

We loved the breakfast, and the views were amazing. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, and Willy at the upstairs bar made our last night extra special. We usually stay in Airbnbs, but were so glad we chose a hotel this time. Hotel Isa is in a great spot in Prati, a much quieter neighborhood than the usual tourist areas, but with lots of good restaurants and things to do. You can walk to the Vatican and to the neighborhoods with the other usual sights. A great experience all around.

The service was impeccable, and the daily breakfast was excellent, with lovely fresh food to choose from. I’d absolutely stay again. We liked being in the quieter, less hectic Prati area, though I can see why some people might prefer to be closer to the tourist spots. It’s near the Tiber and within walking distance of the older and more touristy part of Rome. The boutique hotel has an indoor and outdoor rooftop dining area with a view of St Peter's Basilica. Our room was very nice but small, with a tiny balcony. It had two twin beds, which worked well for my husband and me, and I’d choose that over sharing one double or full bed.
