We had three adults, and the room was huge compared with many central European places we’ve stayed. The price was very reasonable for the location. Mikaela and the staff were welcoming and quick to respond, and after spending our days in a sustained heat wave, it was wonderful to come back to the AC. The location is amazing, just a few steps from the Tiber and directly across from Castel Sant'Angelo. It’s a real gem.

My mother and I had a wonderful stay. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Check-in went smoothly, and Edouardo, Joshua, and the rest of the staff were lovely and very helpful.

I’m still unsure whether I’d say yes or no. We booked a double room in a Black Friday deal for 105€/night plus 12€ tax, though the usual rate is higher. After booking, I saw Google reviews saying the rooms didn’t look like the photos. I contacted them but heard nothing for months, despite a few calls. Eventually they assured me they’d give us a nice room and try for an upgrade, but the delay left me uneasy about the stay. I messaged them on WhatsApp the day before to ask about check-in and got a quick reply. Normal check-in is 12:00am. After they confirmed, we arrived at 11:30am. They said they would upgrade us to an apartment, but it wouldn’t be ready until 13:30. We left our bags and came back when they messaged. Honestly, that apartment wasn’t among the photos on Booking.com. Everyone was generally polite, and the apartment had the listed amenities, including a hairdryer, washing machine, and coffee. They made the bed and took out the rubbish daily, gave us fresh towels once during our 5-day stay, and refilled the sugar and coffee for free after I asked. That was fine by me. The location is really nice, the room was quiet, and it’s easy to walk around or take the bus. There’s a really nice restaurant near the building entrance, so give it a try. Next time I’m in Rome, I’ll choose somewhere near Trevi instead. I found the shops around Trevi better value for money than those in this area. The apartment is big and has nice colors, but it’s clearly old and needs repairs and painting. The AC units are very old, so I can’t say how well they’d cool in summer, though the radiator was very strong. The surfaces, sheets, and towels were clean, but the carpet and floor weren’t. There were dark stains on the shower silicone and inside the toilet bowl that made the place feel old. The bed was actually two twins despite our request for a double, and many slats were missing on one side, leaving a huge hollow under the mattress. I asked them to replace it or add a topper. They only replied, "thank you for informing us," and did nothing, so I slept uncomfortably for all four nights. The instant water heater boils the water, so it takes time to find the right temperature, and the water pressure is very low. They gave us access to two Wi-Fi networks. The first had no signal at all, and the second was too weak for more than one phone. The signal in the room was generally poor, and mobile data wouldn’t work either, so we had no internet access. They really need to fix the bed and the Wi-Fi. For a higher rate I wouldn’t choose it, though it depends on what you’re looking for. I’d have been happy with one of the nice double rooms in the photos if the bed had been comfortable and the Wi-Fi worked.

We’ve stayed here every time we’ve come to Rome since finding the place. Michaela and the whole staff are extremely helpful. It’s in a prime, very central spot, with easy access to all the historic sites.

The location is the one good thing. This "hotel" is just a collection of rooms, with no service or reception. We called the numbers posted at the entrance for late check-in, but nobody answered. Two of the three numbers didn’t even ring, and the one call that went through was ignored. It was generally hard to communicate with them, and they didn’t seem to know how to communicate properly in English. The rooms were a mess. I didn’t say anything at the time because I wanted to enjoy Rome, but the room didn’t match the Booking photo, there was no TV, and it smelled bad from the drain. There was no sound insulation from the room below, so soundproofing was terrible. A hole in the stairs up to the place connected to their bathroom, and we could smell mold coming through it. The renovation didn’t go well. 😞
