Being three stops from Trastevere made evenings easy, and there are plenty of good places to eat within about five minutes on foot. On Sundays, the street right outside turns into a car boot market that runs all the way to Porta Portense, selling new and used goods. Getting around was the best part for us: two trams and five buses are only a few minutes away, and they make it easy to reach anywhere in the Eternal City with at most one change. Roma Trastevere station is about an eight-minute walk, or you can take tram #3 or #8, or one or two buses. The regional train from Fiumicino Airport stops there too. The apartment is a large top-floor place with a terrace and plenty of room. There are six steps twice before the elevator, then another two flights of ten steps to the apartment. The king-size bed sits low, so getting down and back up might be awkward for an adult. It has the basics for cooking, including a fridge, gas stove and oven, though no food supplies, plus a working air conditioner, UV lamps inside and on the terrace, an iron and board, and a hairdryer. The bathroom has a jacuzzi, and the shower's massage jets work, but the water pressure is too low for the full experience. A few things could use refreshing.
