We stayed three nights in April and arrived late in the evening. Following the instructions, we checked into the hotel ourselves, and the process was easy and pleasant. Breakfast was served in our room, which was huge for Rome at this price, and it was cleaned every day. The location is perfect, the staff were helpful, and the scrambled eggs were the best ever! We’ll recommend this hotel to everyone.

The room felt modern, with a comfortable king-size bed and a nice bathroom. Breakfast and free Wi-Fi were included, and Torre Argentina bus stops are right nearby. The slow-draining shower and lobby noise just outside the bedroom were the downsides, especially if you want to sleep in. For a Rome trip, it’d be hard to find a better deal.

For the price, this is a great little place just steps from the heart of the Ghetto. Larry the butler looks after everything, breakfast included. It’s more like an apartment than a hotel, spotlessly clean and surprisingly roomy for a 500-year-old building. There are a few sister hotels around the neighborhood too.

The owner promised a refund, then refused when I followed up and claimed the air conditioner worked perfectly. It didn’t. My room was unbearably hot in the Rome summer, and I spent the night trying to fix it. With nobody at the hotel, I had to wait until morning for someone to arrive. The receptionist said every room was taken when I asked to move, so I booked somewhere else. The service was awful, the owner was no help, and the whole experience felt completely unprofessional. I wouldn’t go near this “hotel.”
