Because of Covid restrictions, we couldn’t travel after booking a room. The hotel kindly gave us a voucher, but it expired during another lockdown when travel was still impossible. Now they say it has expired and keep pointing me back to the voucher when I ask them to honor our booking. They’ve taken our money and won’t let us reserve or offer a refund.

We picked this apartment because it has free, secure parking, which suited us since we were coming by car. The fifth-floor place has an elevator and is just a stone’s throw from St. Peter's Square. There’s no breakfast included, but metro and bus connections make it easy to explore central Rome. We liked our stay, though it was perhaps a little expensive. Thanks to the kind, helpful host.
